Napa Films

Since a very young age, and greatly influenced by his photographer father, Tim Kennedy had a passion for cameras and photography, chronicling the beautiful visuals he saw around him in Tonopah, Nevada. The Napa Valley also provides an incredible canvas for still and moving pictures. Seven years ago, Tim fulfilled a lifelong dream, moving his family to the Napa Valley and becoming part of this close-knit wine community. Napa Films was created in 2012, shooting and producing videos for many wineries, resorts, and restaurants. Storytelling through beautiful imagery is at the core of what we do, and our philosophy is to shoot footage for clients year-round, immersing viewers in the seasonal rhythms of the area and winemaking. Working with a team of talented professionals, Napa Films creates stunning videos that help change our clients’ businesses and influence marketing strategies. Napa Films has also been honored with multiple Wine Spectator International Video Awards.

OUR Work

A favorite client (and favorite wine!!) of ours, we've been working with the team at Shafer Vineyards for over 7 years now. Storytelling and beautiful visuals are synonymous with this brand. The "A Winery Year" video was chosen as a Finalist in the 2018 Wine Spectator Video Competition and was an Honorable Mention for "Best Inside Look". A year long shoot of time-lapse and video footage of the beautiful seasons and surroundings of this wonderful location in the Stags Leap District. ( The previous year's WS Video Competition Shafer also received a Finalist award for "Replanting Lower Sunspot", shooting meticulous time-lapse and a vineyard over 3 years, as well as our "Making a French Wine Barrel" chosen as Honorable Mention as well that same year!)
Peek at their Facebook page for some of the videos we've created as well as in the video gallery on this site.

Nile Zacharle and Whitney Fisher at Mad Fritz craft ales and lagers with an emphasis on controlling the raw materials that further the expression of a time, place and the people that make it happen. Their philosophy is that the best beers are crafted while including the community and the Napa Valley is an incredible place that inspires them to grow, ferment and create: wine, food and beer! As Nile says, they have an endless number of skilled farmers, viticulturists, and just plain fun people to work with that love the dirt, and at the end of the day, beer is kind of like people...we are distinctive, complex, diversified, and prone to be interpreted in many different ways. We absolutely LOVE this beer and were honored to help shoot and showcase the beauty of what makes them unique.

Obsidian wine co.

The highlight of this project was really getting to know the partners and employees behind this brand, as well as visit all the stunning sights you'll see in this piece (including our very own personal pilot in partner Arpad Molnar, and shooting while being flown up to Obsidian Ridge Vineyards.) This campaign is continuing with social media shorts and videos that focus on the many aspects of this winery, including the vineyards in Carneros and Lake County, and barrel making in Hungary.

A fundraising video for Sunrise Horse Rescue, a non-profit horse rescue and sanctuary in Napa.

They are dedicated to saving, rehabilitating and providing horses with forever homes.

JARR is a no-kill rescue and sanctuary in the Napa Valley for companion and farmed animals in need. The nonprofit provides transitional and permanent shelter, adoption and rescue services, humane education, animal advocacy, and is committed to ending animal hunger, cruelty, and overpopulation.
